Losillë is Elvish for Rose. People in real life call me Rose, which is short for Rosalita. Rosalita is Spanish for, you guessed it, Rose |
I am an incredibly wonderful person and all of you should get to know me.
There is a test Wednesday at 10:00 AM, please take notes.
My son (the one I smacked in the head) said to put that I am like a golden retriever puppy. Lots of fun to be with, but has too much energy and gets annoying after a while. He included some stuff about being high maintenance and needing lots of attention and affection. All I got to say to that is pffffft!
I am from Florida and I have a southern accent. I am opinionated and tend to be little outspoken. I hate it when people say gay and they mean lame or stupid. I talk to much. I have lived in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, New York (twice), Washington, Texas, California (twice) and Canada where I was politely asked to leave.
Interests:
General: Music, crafts, photography, computers.
Music: I like most music. I usually listen to hip hop, but I am hooked on World Without Sundays. Nelly is my favorite hip hop artist with 50cent coming a close second. I like some country if it isn't too suicidal. My favorite song of all time is "Please Come to Boston." My favorite World Without Sundays song changes daily. If flips between Happiness, Falling Down and Out of Range. Amended: Long Lost Friends is one of the best songs ever written.
Movies: If you know who Lon Chaney Jr. is and/or what “Gort, Klaatu barada nikto” means then we need to talk. I should explain that I am a Ringer, so I hesitate to list the LOTR trilogy as a movie favorite. That is like asking if a person has read a good book and them answering, ”The Bible.” LOTR is a separate entity. I like old black and white movies, just about anything sci-fi, comedies and mind fuck movies that make you think and question whether or not a thing or a concept is possible. The feasibility of time travel is one of my favorite subjects for movies and discussion. Favorite movie ever: ‘Peggy Sue Got Married’ It is about making choices and whether you would change your life it you could rewind and start over. There is a touch of regret for lost opportunities to say, “I love you.” I will watch anything with vampires, werewolves or space aliens, I like to watch them at night with the lights off; they still scare the shit out of me. The one old movie that really, really scares me is “War of the Worlds” it isn’t black and white and the special effects are hokey by today’s standards, but those turquoises things with the big red eye are horrible. The original “Time Machine” those two books at the end have bugged me for years. All Godzilla movies.
Contemporary movies: Bend It Like Beckham, Blade Trilogy, Kill Bill, Miss Congeniality, Van Helsing, Butterfly Effect, Spiderman, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sin City, Anything with Sandra Bullock and of course Gay Porn movies. I also like Princes Bride, which isn't a gay porn movie, but I would happily watch a gay porn movie staring Mandy Patinkin.
Television: A former boyfriend called TV the ignominious box, I had no idea what that meant. I had to look "ignominious" up. (He was way too smart for my tastes, I only stayed with him cause he was pretty and I was under vaginal control.) Anyway, he was right. I usually don’t watch TV. The only program I watch on a regular basis is “Lost” and I forget to watch it half of the time. I download it as a Bit Torrent file watch it on the computer. Does that still qualify as TV? The only reason I started watching it was because Dominic Monaghan was in it, ended up liking it. The other show I forget to watch is “Scrubs”.
Favorite Actress/Actor: Sean Astin (working on my stalker license), I am a Ringer. Sandra Bullock, Wesley Snipes
Books/Authors: All things Tolkien, Sean Astin, (Did I mention I am a Ringer.) James Patterson is my favorite real author.
Heroes: Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, Sam (the real hero of the book) and Frodo
Education: The first time I went to college I majored in Psychology,
State University of New York at Buffalo. Met a guy fell in love and moved to
Washington State University in Pullman, WA. Moved. After my son was born we
decided I would stay home with him so I went to junior college part time and
majored in Computer Science. Moved. Went to a different junior college
to study one of my passions; Photography. It was a certification program, I
am now licensed to carry film. Moved. Went to another junior college learned
American Sign Language. I would really like to be an interpreter for the
deaf, but the nearest program is in Sacramento. I never intend to stop going
to college. I have flunked Spanish about three times and as God is my
witness I will learn broken Spanish before I die. Recap: I can take your picture while I am psychoanalyzing you, give you instructions in sign language then make a picture slide accompanied by World Without Sundays music.
Motto: In a perfect world all men would be bisexual and every year would be a Pretty Good Year.
